00008 - Lewis, but no Clark

Day 4, awakening

Mark's Portal

Mark: opens to a small grotto in some foothills. to the east you see a
plain extending as far as you can see. to the west are tall mountains.
there are smaller herds of herbivores visible to the east. The
foothills have an assortment of trees, bushes, and herbs. there is a
lot of small game here: rabbits, squirrels, etc.

Dale's Portal

Tyler

Dale: opens to a large cave in a 'new' mountain range. the terrain is
rough and irregular, but you see signs that a large predator (or more)
is currently living in this cave, and hear some low growling, so you go back through the portal
before doing much exploring.
